Hopeworld 2021 Exhibition: July 5-16Book Now
Under the steer of unit head Alison Davies, undergraduate architecture students from studio 5A at Nottingham University present a series of speculative projects for the town. The last and most ambitious of the post-war New Towns, we acknowledge Milton Keynes' unique urban environment, its important legacy of energy projects and its ambitions for future sustainability.
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the original housing exhibition Homeworld ’81, we imagine a next-generation exhibition site located at Saxon Court in CMK: Hopeworld ’21.
Projects include environmental showcase housing, exhibition pavilions, proposals for the creative re-use of Saxon Court as the exhibition hub, and a series of ‘thesis’ projects addressing some of the New Town’s social and environmental challenges as it reaches middle age. See you in Hopeworld!
This exhibition is presented in collaboration with Pooleyville with support from developers First Base and MK Council.
Covid restrictions will be in place. Please ensure you wear a mask, sanitise your hands and observe social distancing measures at all times. Upon entry you will be required to log in to the venue using the track and trace app.
